Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Windflow (the “Service”) — including the Windflow desktop application, the windflow.app website, and your Windflow account — collects, uses, and protects your information. It does not cover the Windflow Browser Control Chrome extension, which has its own privacy policy.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Depending on how you use Windflow, it may include:
- Account information. When you create an account, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information (such as your email address) from Google to authenticate you. This information is stored on our servers.
- AI provider credentials (your own keys). If you configure your own AI provider API key, that key is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We do not track you
- The windflow.app website does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
- The Windflow desktop application does not collect usage statistics or telemetry about how you use it.
Browsing content and AI processing
Windflow can browse and operate web pages on your behalf. To carry out the tasks you request, the content of those pages may be sent to an AI model. How that happens depends on which mode you choose:
- Your own API key (BYOK). When you use your own AI provider key, browsing content is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected. It does not pass through Windflow’s servers, and your data is handled under that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
- Windflow’s official AI service. When you choose to use the AI service we provide instead of your own key, the relevant content is routed through Windflow’s servers to the AI provider. We use it only to fulfill your request and do not retain it — it is forwarded to complete the task and not stored.
You choose which mode to use.
How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- authenticate you and provide access to your account;
- operate and provide the Service and the features you request;
- keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data with third parties only to the extent needed to provide the Service — for example, sending browsing content to an AI model provider when you use our official AI service, or using authentication and security providers to sign you in and protect the Service. We do not otherwise disclose your data.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account information, and request a copy of it. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Children
Windflow is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under the age required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
